The Foundation works with OKC metro agencies to provide assistance to those who have rental arrears. For individuals with families who are at risk of being evicted from their homes due to being in arrears may receive a one-time payment for rent. The intent of that payment is to ensure that the tenant and family will not face eviction from their home.
A second arm of our rental assistance program provides a monthly stipend for individuals in need who are attending classes to become certified in one of the trades. Those individuals are referred through the school they are attending by recommendation of their supervising faculty member.
Tenants referred through partner agencies and schools will be required to complete an application that will:
(i) be reviewed by the subsidy committee,
(ii) enable the committee to determine individuals in greatest need of assistance, and
(iii) calculate the amount and duration of subsidy necessary for the home requested
(iv) the application will be signed by the applicant and the individual who referred them for assistance
The listed Landlord will provide:
(i) a copy of the lease showing the tenants name, the property address, the amount of rent, and the term of the lease
(ii) proof that the tenant is in arrears, if that is the request
(iii) a completed W9 form
